Meeting on Wednesday 13th Feb After School

Good Morning All,

Welcome back to a new year. Just a quick reminder that we will be meeting this coming Wednesday at 3.30 until 4.30pm in the Community Room at Duncraig. Carramar students please meet Mr Drake at the staff room in Chairs House at 3pm. He will drive you to Duncraig and then return you to Carramar in the school bus.

Please be prepared with some of the activities that you are planning to conduct while at the services in Bali, as well as a run down of your fund raising efforts thus far.

We have a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle soon so please refer to previous blog with the list of students attending which date.

Moving into 2019/Bunnnings Sausage Sizzles

Hello Indo Team,

I trust you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and you have made the most of the wonderful break we have over the summer.

Hopefully you made some gains over the break to add to the fundraising effort. We will be hitting the deck running with your fundraising this term, so I have attached a letter for you to use to approach Coles/ Woolworths, IGA’s etc. for donations towards the sausage sizzles. The more we can get in the way of donations the more profit for our tour total. If we can cover buns/sausages/drinks we will be doing a great job.

I will shortly send through a quiz night donation letter shortly which you can provide when you approach businesses for their assistance. We have set a date for Friday, May 10, so start asking friends, relatives, neighbours to join us for the fun.

We will have lots to discuss when we meet on WEDNESDAY 13thFEBRUARY, 3.30pm Duncraig Campus.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Requirements for Feb 23rd, 2019

Hello Team,

Below is the list of requirements for the sausage sizzle. My suggestion is that you focus on obtaining the sausages, onions, buns, and drinks. Closer to the time we will need assistance withe skies, ice, tongs etc.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Feb 23rd2019

Purchases to be made:

  • 1000 beef sausages
  • 1000 bread rolls
  • 25kg onions
  • 10 litres tomato sauce
  • 5 litres mustard sauce
  • 3 litres BBQ sauce
  • 600 – 375ml cans of Fanta, Sprite, Pepsi, and Pepsi Max (Total)
  • 400 – 600ml bottled water
  • Napkins 1000
  • Garbage Bags – Large bin liners
  • Disposable gloves 100
  • Paper Towels 2 rolls
  • Cleaning equipment and detergents, spray and wipe, etc.
  • Tin spray cooking oil
  • Ice 6 bags

Sausage sizzle $2.50, drinks $1.50.

Required:

  • Eskies and coolers – 6
  • Onions to be sliced prior
  • Rolls to be pre-sliced
  • Float tin of $100 and money tin
  • Aprons – each student to bring their own
  • Tools eg. Tongs, knives, spatula

Letter to Retailers Requesting Donation

Morning All,

I have attached a link for a letter that Dr Fielding has signed requesting donations toward the sausage sizzle. As discussed at the meeting on Wednesday, is you can approach Coles, Woolworths, IGA, etc. and ask if they would be able to support the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle by donating sausages, buns, drinks, and other items.

Of course you will to not need to do this until closer to the time for the date you are participating. I will also share with you today a list of items we will require for the day and with the list of students allocated to the dates.

Cadbury Chocolate Fundraising

Hello Team,

As discussed at the meeting yesterday afternoon, I have attached the link for you to peruse and decide which pack you would like to choose for your fundraising. Please remember we are not allowed to sell at school, or ask staff to place in the staff rooms. Your sporting clubs, youth groups, etc are a great source of sales and perhaps your parents would be happy to take the box to work for their hungry colleagues!
