Please note that the Supporting Your Child In a Digital World evening originally scheduled for Tuesday 5 August has been postponed and will be rescheduled later in the year.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful break and were able to enjoy some precious time with family. The gift of rest, connection and a chance to re-charge is something we don’t take for granted and we trust the holidays brought a moment to pause and refresh.
A big thank you to all the parents who attended parent-teacher interviews yesterday. Your presence and ongoing support mean so much to us. We firmly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is key to every child’s success and we’re grateful to walk this learning journey alongside you.
As we step into this new term, our hearts are full of excitement for all that lies ahead. From swimming lessons for our Year 1 to Year 4 students, to Father’s Day celebrations, the magic of Book Week, our vibrant House Athletics Carnival and of course, the much-anticipated Peter Pan Jr Production, there is so much to look forward to! On top of these special events, our classrooms will continue to buzz with rich learning experiences, nurturing curiosity, creativity and growth in every child.
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to all new families joining our wonderful school community. We are so thrilled to have you with us and look forward to sharing this journey together.
Here’s to an amazing Term 3, full of joy, learning and opportunities to shine!
Warm regards
Madame Pilote Mrs Langley Mr Andrews
All students in Kindy to Year 6 and their families are encouraged to join Miss Nicol, Mrs Bartels and Mr Simms on the Primary Green every Thursday morning to run as many laps around the Green as you can! First run club will start next Thursday 7 of August. No matter what your ability is, come on down to earn House points, improve your fitness, build your confidence and run your way towards a healthier lifestyle. Each participating individual will be given their own Running Club lapathon card to count their laps every week. Runners will earn 1 Running Club House Point for every lap they complete around the Primary Green. Running Club lapathon cards must be placed in the lapathon bin after students have finished running their laps.
Students – come dressed in your sport uniform or normal school uniform and running shoes. Students who do not have PE on a Thursday will need to change into their formal school uniform/shoes after running club.
OshClub Runners
Students who attend OSH Club on Thursday morning are welcome to come along to Running Club too. Please advise the OSH staff if your child would like to attend running club and a staff member will walk them to our club on the green. Thank you.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions – kaliah.nicol@ststephens.wa.edu.au

A friendly reminder to check lost property, located in the Reception Office (just near the door to the Primary Forum). All uniform items labelled with names, were returned to the relevant classrooms on Monday, however we still seem to have a large number of unclaimed water bottles, head bands and food containers.
Please remember to label all items with your child’s name as it does help reunite them with their owner.
Registration for Term 3 After School Clubs will be available from 6.00pm this Friday 1 August.
Remember to only register your child for activities available to their year group and only one club per child so that all students have an opportunity to join a club.
Details of clubs will be available at https://portal.ststephens.wa.edu.au/parent-and-student/plan-the-day/after-school-clubs.html from 6.00pm this Friday 1 August.
Due to overwhelming demand, we’re excited to announce that more seats have been released for Dancing at the Drill Hall, our much-anticipated St Stephen’s School Foundation fundraising event.
Set to be a night of music, memories and meaningful impact, this special evening will feature a live auction with an incredible selection of items, including a stunning custom-designed necklace from Egoli Place of Gold Jewellers.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this memorable event supporting the St Stephen’s School Foundation.

What a week we’ve had! Our students’ participation has been incredible throughout the entire Arts & Academic Festival, well done! Our participants should be extremely proud of themselves; the House spirit, enthusiasm, care and respect everyone has shown in our final week of term has been heart-warming to witness. Thank you to our wonderful and respectful audience throughout the Arts events, you have been amazing!
This year has seen the closest ever results with only 1 point between the top two Houses for the overall award!
Thank you to our wonderful community for your generous donations!
This week, our Primary School is alive with the vibrant energy of our annual Arts & Academic Festival, a cherished tradition that celebrates the courage and creativity of our students. From captivating performances to impressive academic displays, our young learners step beyond their comfort zones, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm and resilience.
Stepping out of one’s comfort zone is vital for personal growth. When children engage in unfamiliar activities, they build confidence, adaptability and a willingness to take risks, skills that are essential for lifelong learning and success.
The Arts & Academics Festival provides a platform for students to shine in diverse ways, be it through the arts or academics. This inclusive environment nurtures not only intellectual development but also emotional and social wellbeing.
A heartfelt thank you to our audience, parents, peers and staff, whose respectful and enthusiastic support creates a nurturing atmosphere for our students to thrive. Your encouragement plays a crucial role in fostering their growth and confidence.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such an enriching tradition in our school calendar. The Arts & Academic Festival is more than an event; it’s a celebration of our community’s commitment to holistic education and the development of well-rounded individuals.

Get your hands dirty by making mud sculptures to celebrate International Mud Day! Find some mud and mold it into shapes like animals, flowers, or anything you can imagine. Once your sculptures are dry, you can paint or decorate them for an extra touch of creativity! Bring in some photos as your evidence to one of our Thursday before school passport stamping sessions in the Primary Forum.
Scholastic Book Club orders are being delivered late and will be distributed the first week of Term 3.
Please come and check the Lost Property buckets in Reception (by the doors leading to the Forum) for any items which may belong to your child.
