A heartfelt start to Term 3
Yesterday, our whole Primary School gathered for a beautiful Welcome Worship. It was a special time of coming together in community, pausing to reflect and grounding ourselves in God’s presence as we enter a new season of learning and growth.
The theme of feelings spoke deeply to all of us, students and staff alike. We explored the importance of recognising, naming and honouring our emotions. Whether it’s joy, sadness, frustration or excitement, our feelings are a natural and important part of who we are.
We were reminded that it’s okay to feel, and that it’s important not to bottle our emotions up or let them “splash out” in unhelpful ways. Instead, we were encouraged to find safe ways to express and talk about our feelings, and to lean into the people around us when we need support.
Most importantly, we were reminded that God is always with us, through every high and low. He is a safe and constant presence we can turn to when emotions feel overwhelming, when we’re unsure of what to do, or when we simply need peace and comfort. What a beautiful truth for our students to carry in their hearts.
We are looking forward to hearing from Mrs Swartzentruber throughout this term in Worship as she continues to guide and inspire us with messages of faith, connection and emotional wellbeing.
What a joy to begin the term in such a meaningful way!

Children’s University
I hope you did lots of exciting things over the last holiday break and have recorded some of these towards your learning hours in your Children’s University passport. A reminder that passport stamping sessions are on Thursday mornings before school in the primary forum.
Does your child have a birthday party that needs planning this term? Or perhaps a party so some sort coming up in the family calendar. Why not get involved in the planning.
What will be on the menu? Something sweet or savoury or both! Hot and cold foods, or maybe food from other countries and what about the drinks. They can complete the following attachment for menu planning found on the CU portal and earn 30 minutes in their CU passport.
