Immunisation authority needed from parents

Dear parents of Bethany Home tour students,

As you know from the Trip Agreement document, the immunisation of your child for this tour is a matter between you and your  family doctor. We encourage all students on this tour to seek medical advice about whether immunisation is appropriate for them. Doctors should be informed of the nature of the tour and its location (Kuala Lumpur, Bethany Home near Teluk Intan in the Malaysian state of Perak, Penang) so they can make an informed recommendations to you.

As a school we require you to send a simple email to one of the tour staff stating you are “satisfied with your child’s level of immunisation for the Bethany Home service tour 2019”. We do not need medical certificates or other evidence from doctors, only your approval. Please attend to this now as immunisations can sometimes take many weeks.

Please send this email to:

brett.roberts@ststephens.wa.edu.au

jennifer.prosser@ststephens.wa.edu.au

jordan.torquado@ststephens.wa.edu.au

By 13 September at the latest.

Many thanks

Dr Mark Fielding
