Term 4 – Notices – Week 4

Dear Parents,

There are some key dates for this week in the Primary School. On Tuesday 3 November the Year 2’s will have an Orchestra Demonstration. The students will see and listen to the different instruments found in an Orchestra. The ELC Prayer Group will be held in the staff room. (Kindy parents welcome to join at 9am) in the ELC staff room. On Friday 6 November Pre Primary Pirate Day. There is also the 6LK class assembly. Students from years 4 & 6 will be attending. Next week on Monday 9 November there is a worship gathering in the Village for students in years 3 & 5.

ELC PRAYER GROUP

There is a group of parents who meet each Tuesday to pray for the school and people in the school. If you have something you would like us to pray for, please fill in a little prayer note and put it in the prayer box located at the front office or library. These can be anonymous if you prefer.

We’d also love to invite anyone who would like to, to come along to the prayer group.

Tuesday mornings from about 8:45-9:15 (Kindy parents welcome to join at 9am)

  • ELC staff room
  • Come regularly or whenever you can
  • Toddlers/babies are very welcome
  • It is very informal, and you don’t have to pray out loud if you don’t want to.

Years 3 – 6 Presentation Evening

Friday 4 December at the Carramar Sports Centre, 50 St Stephens Crescent, Tapping.

Starting times to be advised.

For those families who are new to the school and might be unfamiliar with the format of the evening, this is a wonderful time of celebration of our students. Throughout the evening, staff acknowledge academic excellence, academic effort and exceptional citizenship among each year group. Students will also be performing choral items that they have been learning.

PARKING

We would like to remind parents of the need to consider others and the safety of the children when driving and parking around the school.

The Staff parking bays are not to be used for student drop off/pick up. Please use the parent car parks or Kiss and Drive facility for this purpose.

The Kiss and Drive facility is supervised and offers a very smooth pick-up option after school. Parents are asked to consider using this facility rather than parking.

Calling for School Banking volunteers – we need your help!

Our current School Banking Coordinators are moving on after years of service to our school community, and to keep this program running we need your help.
The program requires at least two new volunteer School Banking Coordinators to facilitate the banking and distribution of School Banking rewards.
It’s easy – and it only takes a small amount of your time one day a week. We can show you the ropes to get you going, and Commonwealth Bank provides support via a helpdesk and dedicated reps.
Your help with the program will greatly benefit students as they develop vital saving skills and also help our school with fundraising. It is also a rewarding and interactive way to be an active member of the school community.
If you are interested in volunteering for this great program, please visit us during school banking in the primary village (every Thursday from 8am to 9am) or contact Kirsty Pearce on 0404 967 002.
