Year 8 students had fun making a gateau au yaourt in a French cooking masterclass afterschool. Students followed a French recipe to make a traditional French cake – one that is a rite of passage in France.

MUSIC IN THE VALLEY

Duncraig musicians headed to the Swan Valley Adventure Centre for three days of rehearsals and fun activities during Senior Music Camp. Ensembles rehearsed for upcoming performances and also spent time relaxing with sing-alongs and toasting marshmallows by the campfire. The villains vs superheroes movie night was also heaps of fun with students and staff dressing up for the special screening!

ROOKIE DEBATE SEMI

Year 7 debating teams challenged each other to a strong contest at the Duncraig rookie debate semi final. That nations should invest in space technology was the topic and students argued diverse points, from the negativity of the cost of exploration to the search for life beyond Earth. Congratulations to the negative team for taking out a narrow win! The grand final against Carramar’s semi final winner will be held early next term.
