ANZAC SERVICE TOMORROW AND SPECIAL YR 3-6 ASSEMBLY THIS WEDNESDAY

ANZAC SERVICE TUESDAY 30 APRIL 7.30 AM

The Carramar Campus ANZAC Service has become a key feature on our community calendar in recent years. It is a great opportunity for commemoration of sacrifice and we invite all parents and students to join us in a time of reflection.

The 2019 ANZAC Service will be held on Tuesday 30th April (the first day of Term 2 for students), beginning at 7:30 am on the lawn outside the Administration Building. Students participating as part of the Choir should arrive at 6.30 am. The service will conclude at approximately 8.00 am.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY YR 3 – 6 Wednesday 1 May

The Children’s University ECU team will be here to speak to students and interested parents on Wednesday 1 May at 2.50 pm during a special Assembly.

Children’s University, run in Western Australia by Edith Cowan University (ECU), encourages children between 7 – 14 years old to be self-directed learners through activities such as sport, dance, reading, writing and reviewing, drama, arts and holiday activities. The hours students complete are recorded in a passport and after a minimum 30 accredited hours students are invited to a formal graduation ceremony on ECU’s campus to receive their award. The program is a great way to demonstrate the pathways that are possible for further and tertiary learning and provide opportunities to build self-esteem. The program is completely voluntary and should be driven by the interest of each child. Further information about the program is available  on the website: www.childrensuniversity.com.au or

social media: https://www.facebook.com/childrensuniversityaustralasia
