The Fete on Saturday was a magnificent success – even the rain couldn’t keep people away. There was a wonderful range of stalls, food and entertainment and the whole day was a buzz of activity. The music inside and outside the Primary School was wonderful and I would like to express my thanks to Natalie Edmunds, her team, students and parents for making this possible. I would also, express my thanks to Catherine Strong from Lime and Ice who sang so beautifully all day.
The day was only made possible thanks to the wonderful community that we have, giving their time and expertise throughout the lead up and on the day of the Fete. I would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to Gavin Forrest, John Raftis, Janelle Charteris, Marnie Dalwood, Shirley Erasmus, Rachael Anastas , Liesl Binnie, Kirsty Pearce, Eileen McKimm, Year Group Reps and many, many others that made the day so amazing. Thank you to the many staff across St Stephen’s for all organising and support that you provided, from making the Primary School ready, to making sure venues were booked and parking was organised to running stalls, moving furniture and to staff going in the dunk tank. Thank you all very much. It will be a day we will remember fondly for a long time.

Jack Holley from PPG is passionate about helping the people of Fiji rebuild, after the devastating cyclone that they suffered through recently. Commencing Monday (14 March), we encourage students to bring in a gold coin donation. On Friday (18 March) we will collect all the money raised and forward these donations to the Red Cross, so that they may continue their wonderful work. There will be a collection jar inside each classroom. Thanks in anticipation of your support.
