Story Night In
We are having a parent and child “Story Night In” on Tuesday night, 16th August 2016. Parents and children will be invited to come in their PJ’s for a hot chocolate and tiny teddies while reading stories with their family.
This is part of the National Reading Hour which is celebrated across Australia. We have celebrated Reading Hour for the last three years with a “Story Night In” to be held in the ELC on Tuesday 16th August at 6-7pm., so don’t miss out.
Come on in for your hot chocolate and tiny teddies and read with your child and friends.
Book Week (Week 5 August 22-26th)
The theme for Book Week this year is Australia-Story Country.
We will be celebrating Book Week with a Book Character Parade on Friday 26th August. Children are asked to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. The ELC Book Parade will start at 9am and the Primary Book Parade will start at 9.45a.m
Any questions, just ask Jo-Anne Urquhart or any library staff.

QUIZ Night
Next year parent connect is looking at holding a quiz night fundraiser. It will be held on the Duncraig campus with a date to still be worked out.
For this quiz night to be a success we are looking for volunteers who might be able to assist. The more people we have the easier it will be for all.
We are hoping people can help with the organizing of donations and raffle prizes, helping to sell the tickets, perhaps offer to be a quiz master on the night!
If you think you would like to assist please let Rachael Anastas know via email rachpaul7@bigpond.com
