Lion King Information
Dear Parents,
Tickets go on sale for the Lion King performances this Thursday 1 September via https://www.trybooking.com/MNPY
All Year 3, 4 & 5 students are involved in all the Lion King performances.
Year 6 leads Cast 1 are performing on Tuesday 25 October 11.30am & Wednesday 26 October 6.30pm.
Year 6 leads Cast 2 are performing on Thursday 27 October 6.30pm & Friday 28 October 6.30pm.
The expectation is that all Year 6s in both casts and the Set, Marketing, Media, Costumes, Djembe and Puppet troops will attend every performance because everyone is involved in the Finale and Bows.
There are no general tickets for sale for the Tuesday Matinee performance as the audience will be made up of ELC students and staff.
There will be a babysitting service provided for ELC aged students in Cousins Hall for each of the evening shows. If you wish to avail yourself of this service, there is no need to purchase a ticket for your ELC child, who will already have seen the show. The babysitting will be provided by Secondary Students who are fundraising for the Service Learning Tour to Cambodia in January 2017. Further information regarding cost and sign up details will be available nearer the show dates.

ELC School Banking News
School banking is held in Connect Cafe on Monday mornings from 8 AM.
Prize Lights have appeared in the sky.
This term we have an all awesome competition called Prize Lights. If your child makes three deposits anytime during term 3 they will automatically be entered for this awesome competition. Prizes include PlayStation packs, instant cameras, kids magazine packs and camping kits. The school will also be entered in a draw to win one of 75 bags full of sports equipment, valued at $200.
Student Rewards.
Each time a student banks, they receive a token to be collected and redeemed for rewards. Rewards include invisible ink pens, galaxy gliders, rockets, writing sets, and money boxes. This term, the Pat the dog school bag tag and skipping rope have been released. Some students are yet to collect the rewards they have already ordered. Please come in to grab your well earned rewards.
Commission Report
Did you know that school banking also earns rewards for our school? In Semester 1, the Early Learning Centre earned $6166.15 in commission!
We need your help!
We are desperately seeking permanent volunteers to help ensure the continuation of the school banking program in Term 4 and beyond. A huge thank you is extended to Nadya Kraehmann who has volunteered her expert capabilities since 2015 and is now overseas spending quality time with her family. Thank you also to Amanda D’Souza and Caroline Kerr who have been helping out in Nadya’s absence, their help is sincerely appreciated! We particularly enjoy seeing the children’s smiling faces each week and serving the school community. If you would like to volunteer on an ongoing basis please contact Sascha Metcalf on 0420 831 152, email saschajane@live.com, or visit us during school banking on Monday morning.

Pizza Supplier
Parent Connect is looking for any school families that perhaps own a pizza shop or a food outlet where they would be willing to supply food. We are always having functions at the school where we are seeking a pizza supplier and would love to use a school family.
If there is anyone out there that would consider supporting future events please let me know by either email rachpaul7@bigpond.com or mobile 0417720447.
