ELC Book Week Parade Photos

From The Wizard of Oz’s Dorothy to Lynley Dodd’s Hairy Maclary – we all had a ball, including Belle from Beauty and the Beast, at this year’s ELC Book Week Parade last Friday morning! A huge pat on the back to the students who paraded so bravely and wonderfully, the teachers, who lead the children with such enthusiasm and flair and the staff who supported all of us, who contributed to such an amazingly brilliant celebration. Thank you.

Primary Book Week Parade Photos

This years Primary Book Week Parade included characters from the much loved David Wallliams books, Gangster Granny and Fing, to Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Primary Staff dazzled in their creative and inspirational costumes, from Roald Dahl’s Matilda, with a slightly dodgy looking Agatha Trunchbull, and a couple very happy of Wizard of Oz stars, the lion and the scarecrow.

Safety in our Primary School

Dear Parents

At the end of last week, our Safety Committee engaged a structural engineer examine our Primary entrance to our Quad area.  Sadly this was deemed unsafe.  Going forward, the recommendation is to remove the entire structure.  We will replace this with a new and friendly entrance to our beautiful Primary School.  We hope to be able to resource the timber to construct a Friendship Bench.

Works in this area will be undertaken over the next few weeks.  Please use the doors to the Village or the gate nearest to the Year 6 classrooms.  Kiss and Drive can be accessed through this gate.   Thank you for your understanding whilst we make our Primary School safe.
