2016 Carramar graduate Daniel Stynes has officially signed with Perth Glory

WA young gun completes Glory squad….

Perth Glory is delighted to announce that local WA attacker, Daniel Stynes has been signed on a professional contract to complete our first-team squad for the upcoming 2017-18 Hyundai A-League season.

The 19-year-old has come through the ranks via the club’s academy pathway and skippered our PS4 National Premier League side last season. Equally comfortable playing in a wide or central attacking role, the Tapping-based youngster is renowned for his dribbling skills and expertise at set-pieces. He was presented with his squad jersey by club owner and chairman, Tony Sage and is understandably delighted to be a part of Kenny Lowe’s senior squad.

“I’m really excited to sign my first pro-contract and my family were thrilled when they heard the news,” he said. “but I know that the hard work really starts now and I’m determined to learn as much as I can from the other lads here and be the best player I can be.”

Sage meanwhile, is thrilled to see quality WA talent flowing through the club’s academy into its Hyundai A-League squad and believes that Stynes and teammate, Joe Knowles are set to be the first of many.

“It’s fantastic to see our academy pathway that we put in place over the last couple of years now producing quality WA players such as Daniel and Joe,” he said.

“We have some other extremely talented age groups coming through at the club and will hopefully be handing many of those local players their Hyundai A-League debuts for Glory in years to come.”

Stynes will wear the number 25 jersey this season.
