St Stephen’s School Carramar Home Economics students put the old adage of learning with purpose into practice last term, drawing on their sewing skills to help those less fortunate.
Spurred on by the words of Mission Australia WA Chaplain Scott Vawser, who took time to speak to the students about the impact of drugs, alcohol and homelessness on Perth’s youth, the Year 11 and 12 students created care packages for Mission Australia’s Drug and Alcohol Youth Service (DAYS), which provides a comprehensive range of treatment and support services to youth battling drug and alcohol issues.
