FOND MEMORIES
As we delve into the archives in our 35th year, we reflect on the excitement and anticipation of the first day at the Carramar campus! Does anyone remember the opening of the School in 2001?

REAL-WORLD EQUATION

Our mathematically minded Carramar Secondary students recently entered the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge for the first time, walking away with a Participation Award for their efforts! Students worked in teams to solve a real world problem, applying a mathematical model to the situation, and were given five days to submit a 10-20 page report. Well done teams!

TRY-A-TRADE

Last week’s Try-A-Trade was messy but fun as Year 9 and 10 students from Carramar and Duncraig tried their hand at plastering. It took a few goes to perfect the trowelling technique before they took to the walls. There was lots of laughter at the realisation that it’s “harder than it looks” but the students took it in their stride; the lecturer impressed with “a few standouts” and the teens’ polite nature “even early in the morning”.
