Christmas Appeal

Can you believe Christmas is only two months away?! Our School is once again supporting the UnitingCare West Christmas Appeal this year, supporting those who are disadvantaged in our community. Our community is encouraged to donate any food items from the list below, dropping the items to Homerooms. Donations open today and will remain open until the end of Week 7.

Back to Nature

The sun was shining for a group of Carramar Cert II Sport & Recreation students who spent a day surrounded by nature, trekking part of the Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail for their bushwalking assessment.

Cook and Donate

Our Cook and Donate program sees our staff band together to cook meals for UnitingCare West Merriwa once a Term. Last Term, an hour’s worth of cooking resulted in 37 meals to donate. It’s a great way to catch up with colleagues and lend a helping hand to our community!

Little Feet Success

On Sunday at ECU Joondalup the Little Feet Festival took place. For the first time St Stephen’s was involved as a provider of activities for the many families who attended. The 2018 safari themed event was an overwhelming success with approximately 900-1000 people coming through the different activity stations we set up.

A huge thank you to all involved; Marketing & Communications, Admissions, Kimberley Safari Tours, Lise Legg, Donna Lund, Valery Wells, Claire Jones, Linda Scott (Chris Scott’s Mum) and students from both campuses. It was lovely speaking to so many people about our School and the feedback was wonderful.

A special thanks to Katie Lee who was the mastermind behind this project and I know that next year will be as successful.

Gates are about to open for the Little Feet Festival at ECU Joondalup! Come down for a day of safari, arts, drumming and virtual reality with the St Stephen’s team!

Eye Opening Initiative

A group of Carramar Secondary students took part in the Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth (PARTY) Program last week, an eye-opening initiative run at Royal Perth Hospital. Students toured the hospital, walking the treatment course of a patient involved in trauma, and were informed about risk-taking behaviours and the consequences involved.

A Fusion of Talent

See the future of creativity at this year’s Fusion Exhibition, on display at St Stephen’s Carramar from October 24-30, with works from a range of disciplines and ages on show as students from K-12 present their artistic talents.
