COACH FOR A DAY

Continuing to grow as leaders, Carramar’s Year 12 students recently coached the Year 1 students during Sport. This time, the Year 12 students put their soccer knowledge into practice to train up some future soccer stars!

LEADING BY EXAMPLE

We’re seeing some young coaches in the making at the Carramar campus, with Year 11 Cert 2 students recently coaching Year 2 students in AFL! Not only was the experience valuable for the Year 2 students, our Year 11 students were able to put their footy knowledge into practice and grow as leaders.

Sports Stars

Last Tuesday night we celebrated a jam-packed year of sporting achievements for our Carramar Secondary students! The Sports Awards night recognised our MVPs, Team Players and Interschool and State Representatives, awarding them for their skill, dedication and sportsmanship. Rotto Bound

Our Year 9 students are absolutely loving their Outdoor Ed camp at Rottnest! They’ve been busy exploring the Island and snorkelling the beautiful surrounding reef.

Surf’s Up!

Carramar’s Year 10 students made the most of the sunny weather last week, heading up to Lancelin for their Outdoor Ed camp. As well as catching some waves, the students tried their hand at fishing, camp cooking and a few beach games.

HOWZAT!

Congratulations to Carramar’s Year 10 Girls Cricket Team for dominating the MILO T20 Blast last week! For the third time in four years, the girls have successfully made it through to the state finals. How exciting!

Achieving at ACC

Months of students’ training and dedication was evident at the WA Athletics Stadium yesterday, as our Carramar athletes gave it their all at the ACC Athletics Carnival. Not only did our Senior Boys bring home a shield, Ky Landers (Year 12) placed third in Senior Boys, Simba Munjodzi (Year 7) achieved Runner Up Champion Boy in the Under 13s, Jayde Gault (Year 8) won Champion Boy in the Under 14s and Kayla van den Heever (Year 8) placed third in the Under 14s. Well done Team Carramar!

Scenic Surroundings

Making themselves at home at both Lake Leschenaultia and our Nanga campsite, Carramar’s Year 9 and 10 students recently switched off from their busy schedules and enjoyed time immersed in nature on their Outdoor Ed Camps. A special mention must go to the brave Year 10 abseilers!
