ALL-ROUND ACHIEVEMENTS

As our community gathered for their first assemblies of the year, we recognised some outstanding academic performances and new leadership positions among our students.

Recipients of Academic Wreaths; Hannah Legge, Danielle Popich and Imogen Resta

Recipients of Academic Colours; Jessica Cruickshank, Claire Graham, Sophie Mitchell andJasleen Sandhu

Last year’s Year 12 students who achieved a score over 90 in their WACE/ATAR Exams and who are now part of St Stephen’s Alumni, also paid each campus a visit to celebrate their successes. These young men and women showed they are great role models for our younger students who are following in their footsteps.

THE HEIGHTS OF HIGH SCHOOL

These may be the most excited students on campus right now – our Year 7s! Year 7 students were welcomed at their orientation day yesterday, before starting their first high school classes today. We wish them all the best for the year ahead.

Stunning Snaps

Congratulations to Year 11 Carramar student Harman Heer, who took out the top photography prize at Murdoch School of Arts‘ 2017 Mesh at Murdoch Awards on Wednesday 6 December. Harman topped the Best Photographic Series category with these stunning shots, beautifully showcasing African wildlife in their natural habitat.

Tough Mudders

Carramar Year 7 students recently enjoyed an awesome day of team building activities at the Swan Valley Adventure Centre. Fun was high on the agenda, as well as challenges requiring students to work together to develop their problem solving and communication skills. There is nothing quite like getting out of the classroom for a day of fun with classmates!

Beat the Drum

Carramar staff and students heard the strum of drums during their lunch break as Carramar Percussionists gave an impromptu performance around the campus. Their moving display drew a curious crowd who enjoyed the energetic demonstration. Thank you to Mrs Thomson and the Percussionists for bringing beats to the lunch break!
