Carramar’s Year 11 ATAR Visual Art students recently had the pleasure of hosting Rachelle Dusting – Fine Art in class for the third time. Rachelle is a talented Western Australian oil painter who runs workshops with students, focussing on colour temperature, form and contrast. Check out their amazing work!

Perth School of Ballet

LET THE ART SPEAK


A variety of colours, textures and mediums were on show for the opening of the 2019 Northern Perspectives art exhibition Friday 1 March, with Year 11 and 12 students from various local schools displaying their artwork.
An impressive 22 students from St Stephen’s exhibited their artwork, with Madeline McAllan (Carramar Class of 2018) taking home a Highly Commended award for her piece. The exhibition runs until Saturday 6 April at the Wanneroo Library.

  

Top Prize

We are delighted to announce that Harman Heer (Carramar Year 11) has taken out the top prize – the Golden Mesh Award – at the 2018 Mesh at Murdoch Awards for his stunning photography! As Harman is currently overseas, he pre-recorded his acceptance speech while Mrs Lesley Nation proudly accepted the award on his behalf.

Splash of Colour

The Collinson Library deck is looking even brighter than usual thanks to our creative Certificate II Visual Arts students! This collaborative project saw students measure, design and paint these scenic artworks over the course of this year.

  

Immeasurable Talent


For the second year in a row, young photographer, Harman Heer (Carramar Year 11) has been nominated as a category finalist in the Mesh at Murdoch Awards! Harman will now compete for the ultimate Golden Mesh Award, announced on December 5. Check out his stunning photos.
