St Stephen’s Carramar’s Mock Trials team are having an historic run, getting further in the competition than any of our school teams have before. They beat number one seed La Salle College recently to advance to the semi-final against Kingsway Christian College on September 17. Alumni Coach Mr Ashley Roberts, of Law Firm Gilbert + Tobin and HASS HOLA Mr Joshua Plummer are extremely proud of the group, which includes Sophie Mitchell, Riana Shah, Tahlia Beckitt, Claire Graham, Vishu Parmr, Sophie Dickson and Matthew Smith. Convincing Win
Last week, at none other than the Supreme Court of WA, St Stephen’s Carramar’s novice Mock Trial team scored an upset win over an experienced bunch of Year 12 lawyers-to-be. Though not quite enough to propel them into the Finals, the convincing argument and impressive display of potential from the St Stephen’s team bodes very well for next year. Well done!
