STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE

Young chef Naomi Velterop (Carramar Year 12) spent the weekend working alongside renowned chefs, Anna Gare and Guy Jeffreys at the Wandering Autumn Graze long table lunch. Showcasing the best produce from the Wheatbelt region, Naomi took part in the event through her school-based apprenticeship Certificate III Commercial Cookery. She was praised for her efficiency, skill and passion for food. Well done Naomi!

Last Thursday’s Hospitality Group Training WA Awards Evening saw success for Carramar student Naomi Velterop, who took out the award for the Most Outstanding School Based Apprentice of the Year! Naomi’s employer praised her work ethic, saying she has a natural ability in the kitchen and potential to go far in the industry. Congratulations!
