A Word From Woodstock

It’s safe to say our students are immersing themselves in India’s rich culture on the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ India Service Tour. On day four at Woodstock students spent the morning painting the new library at Kaplani Village School before setting off on an Indian food safari to the town of Mussoorie. INDIA BOUND

Our first St Stephen’s Global service tour to India departed Saturday 18 November. A group of 13 Year 12 students from Duncraig and Carramar will be working in and around Woodstock School, located at 2300m above sea level, in the foothills of the Indian Himalayas in Uttarakhand State. The group have been working hard over the last six months. They have prepared for their service by learning basic Hindi and studying Indian history, culture, people and issues of the region. They will also have an opportunity to visit Delhi and the Taj Mahal. We wish them all the best for the trip and we’re sure there will be many enriching stories to tell upon their return.
