Year 10 English students have been praised for their excellent presentations at the recent Year 10 Speech Nights. While perfecting their public speaking skills, the students shone as they discussed topics and social issues they feel passionate about. Well done!

Athletics Carnival

August 14, 2018

The weather was perfect for last Friday’s Athletic Carnival held at the Arena Joondalup.

With the sun shining and House pride on full display, our students have been giving it their best on the track and field today while cheering on their friends.

Well done to everyone!

Book Donations

August 9, 2018

You may be an avid reader, but the dusty pile of books in your room is starting to be a nuisance. You don’t have the heart to throw your old books away, but you don’t have much of a use for them anymore.

We need book donations to run another successful book stall at the fete.

Please bring any books you have outgrown or no longer need to Student Services or Primary Office.  If it is easier, bring them to the shed in the bottom car park.

Shed will be open every Tuesday from Aug 14, at approx. 7.45am – 8.45am.

THANK YOU!

Year 10 student Casey Vlahos has recently travelled to Okinawa, Japan as part of the West Australian section of Go-Kan-Ryu karate! This gives Casey the opportunity to train with the highest karate practitioners in the world, some of the whom are descendants of the founders of traditional Okinawan karate.

Food Appeal

August 3, 2018

Dear Parents and Students,

Winter is here and we all know it can be a difficult time for those in our community that are experiencing homelessness or severe financial hardship. Once again St Stephen’s School will be supporting those who find themselves in this predicament.

Commencing Monday, 6th Aug and concluding Friday, 24th Aug we are collecting non-perishable food items to donate to UnitingCare West to distribute to those in need.

It would be greatly appreciated if all students could donate a minimum of one non-perishable food item each. Some examples are:

Pasta and pasta sauce

UHT milk

Biscuits

Tea/Coffee

Cereal

Canned vegetables/fish/meat

Secondary students will be directed to bring the items to their Houses, Primary and ELC students to their teachers.

We thank you in advance for your generosity, every little bit helps.

With regards

Donna Lund
