Year 10 Girls attend Robogals Workshop

February 23, 2017

Today the Year 10 girls had the opportunity to attend a LEGO Robtotics workshop run by a group of university student volunteers arranged by Mrs Amy Aldous.

In this fun and educational class, students were shown the basics of engineering, robotics and programming using LEGO Mindstorms NXT kits.

The photo below shows students being a human structure.

The purpose of these workshops is to give girls a general idea of what engineering is about and to provide a fun, hands-on engineering experience. The workshops are free for schools and run by volunteers from UWA.
