Thank you to those of you who were at the lesson planning session today. There was some good energy and you all worked hard – I hope it gave you a clearer picture of how your lesson might run.

As mentioned today, please find some links below – one where you can enter your mobile number so we can set up a WhatsApp group, and the other link if for you to upload your lesson plan and any resources to your relevant folder (I have named them based on what your lesson is about. eg. Numbers etc.)

Hello Again Students,

Just to confirm next Monday’s meeting will be at the Duncraig Campus, so it is the Carramar students who should meet in C1 at 8am to get the bus down to Duncraig

If you will be making your own way to Duncraig and do not need a lift in the bus, please can you let me know,

Hi Everyone,

I hope exam’s went well and your hard work paid off.

The main purpose for our meeting next Monday will be to get some concrete lesson planning done for the English teaching we are to deliver. We will meet in C1 Charis House.

Many thanks to the groups who have already sent me their flashcards, those who are still working on this. please could you get them to me by Thursday or Friday of this week.

That way we can run through lots of ideas for how to use these next week and I can get them laminated before Monday.

Dear Students,

I have attached a link to a Pre Tour Survey and would appreciate your completion before the last meeting on the 27th November.

This survey allows us to obtain an understanding of your knowledge of Vietnam and the tour prior to departure. Once you have returned we will then share a post tour survey with you.

This assists us to plan for our future tours, make improvements or change itineraries if necessary and importantly, we gain a better understanding of the benefits of Service Learning Tours for our students.

Hello All,

It is certainly getting exciting now with ONLY 54 DAYS TO GO – WOOHOO!!!

We have had to move the date for the final parent information session due to some Carramar students being absent. Please put the following dates in your calendar:

• Monday 25th November (8.30am – 3pm) – final preparation day for students to plan their English lessons and discuss the rest of the project. Please meet in Cousins Hall at the Duncraig campus at 8.30am. Carramar students, please meet Mrs Harris in the Charis Forum at 8am for a lift to Duncraig in the minibus – if you do not need a lift to and from Duncraig then please let Mrs Harris know.
• Wednesday 27 November (5 – 6pm) – we would like to invite you to a final information session for the Vietnam Tour in the Science Forum of Duncraig Campus at 5pm. We will cover airport departure, itinerary, packing list, activities, etc. and answer any questions that you may have regarding the tour.

This is just a reminder to those helping out at the Middle School and Primary School Music Concerts next week at the Duncraig Campus. According to our spreadsheet, the students who have volunteered are:

Middle School Concert – Wednesday 13th November, 2025 – 6.45pm – 8.30/9pm

Paige Taylor, Joshwa Ruiz, Akayla Fairclough, Abbey Shackleton, Liam Gordon, Alyssa Hardingham

Primary School Concert – Thursday 14th November, 2025 – 6.45pm – 8/8.30pm

Kate Elderfield, Paige Taylor, Joshwa Ruiz, Akayla Fairclough, Heidi Wilton, Ainsley Montile, Alyssa Hardingham

If any of you can’t make it then please let me know. Please be at the Duncraig campus (administration building at the turning circle) at approximately 6pm so that we can set up in the foyer outside the Theatre. There will be no intermission, however, we hope to be selling food/refreshments before and after the event. The finishing times are approximate depending on how the performances go.

If you are not attending the evenings but would still like to prepare some food in advance then please hand the food to someone attending the evenings to bring along for you. I will be helping out on the Wednesday and Mrs Harris will be helping out on the Thursday.
