Our Duncraig Primary School’s refurbished library made it in to the finalists of innovative school libraries in the Library Design Awards 2017. Run by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), the awards were created to showcase and celebrate the best in contemporary library interiors and exteriors in Australia.

The library has flexible learning spaces to encourage collaboration and group learning. These spaces can be adapted to suit quiet, independent learning as well. Situated in the physical centre of the building, the library is considered the heart of the school by staff and students. A café exists within the library to encourage parental participation and to provide a space for parent workshops.
