Week Ahead
ELC
Friday 28 Feb, 9am – ELC Assembly
3-6
Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 Feb – Year 5 Surfing Lessons
This week brings our parent teacher interviews at the ELC and 3-6. The meetings are an opportunity to speak with the teacher to see how your child is settling into their new class. Due to the high number of meetings taking place, time is limited. Please support our staff and others in the community by ensuring that you keep to your meeting time. If meeting time over runs, it will impact others and staff managing this load.
Please remember that it is a long weekend next week, with the Labour Day Public Holiday on Monday 3 March. Additionally, the Primary Interhouse Swimming Carnival will be held at Beatty Park Leisure Centre on Wednesday 5 March. We look forward to seeing some of you there.
3-6 Kiss and Drive
There has been some congestion over the last week caused by the kiss and drive. While we do understand that access to the kiss and drive is not ideal, we ask that it is used correctly. Full information on the kiss and drive can be found on page 29 of the parent handbook. However, for your convenience, here is an extract.
“To access the Primary kiss-and-drive, you will be required to proceed around the turning circle in the Secondary School and down into the Primary kiss-and-drive…Parents will not be able to turn right into the Primary kiss-and-drive as this will interfere with traffic flow.
…if your child is not ready for collection as you drive in you are asked to proceed through the kiss-and-drive and out of the school around the block and then re-enter the school. Much traffic flow becomes congested due to cars being parked and others not being able to move through”
Warm regards,
Andrew Johnston & Hannah Lockwood-Jones
