As we enter the final two weeks of term, it’s easy to focus on what’s next—the upcoming holidays, the excitement of a new term, and all that lies ahead. However, this is also a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate all that has been achieved since the beginning of the school year.

For our students, this term has been filled with learning, growth, and personal milestones. Whether it’s mastering new skills in the classroom, participating in sporting events, building friendships, or showing resilience in challenges, every child has something to be proud of. We encourage you to take a moment with your child to reflect on their achievements—big or small—and acknowledge how far they’ve come.

A special thank you to our families for your continued support, encouragement, and involvement in school life. Your partnership plays a vital role in your child’s learning journey, and we are grateful for the strong sense of community we share.

Thanksgiving Service – Tuesday, 8th April
We warmly invite families to join us for our Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, 8th April as we come together in gratitude for the term that has been. This is a special time to reflect, give thanks, and celebrate the efforts of our students, staff, and school community.

A Note for Our Year 2 Families
As our Year 2 students take on the honour of leading the ANZAC Assembly on the last day of term, we ask that they wear their normal school uniform for the occasion rather than free dress. Students are welcome to bring a top to change into after the assembly. Thank you for your support in ensuring this is a respectful and meaningful event.

Let’s take these last two weeks to celebrate, reflect, and finish the term on a positive note. Wishing all our families a restful and enjoyable break ahead!

Warm regards,

Hannah Lockwood-Jones & Andrew Johnston

Year 2 Camp

A huge congratulations to our Year 2 students for an amazing camp day on Friday! The day was filled with excitement, laughter, and fun as our students embraced each activity with enthusiasm and teamwork. From interacting with the visiting cuddly farm animals, to being amazed by the magic show, every moment was a highlight. The talent show was a fantastic display of creativity, and the pizza dinner was the perfect way to end the day.

A big thank you to all the teachers and staff who helped plan the day and make it so special.

School Worship Service

We wish to remind you of the St Stephen’s School Worship Service; to held at the Carramar Sports and Learning Centre on Tuesday, 8 April at 6:45pm.  We would love to see you all there.

Students arriving to school late

We kindly remind parents that if students arrive after 8:35am,  they must be signed in at Reception. Recently, we have observed several instances where parents have dropped their children off at Kiss and Drive, with them then proceeding directly to class. To ensure the safety and proper record-keeping of all students, please remember to sign your child in at Reception if they are arriving after school start time. Thank you for your cooperation.

Warm regards,

Andrew Johnston & Hannah Lockwood-Jones

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we head into the second half of the term, it’s been lovely to see the joy and energy that fill our school grounds each day. Classrooms have been buzzing with learning – from curious questions and creative thinking to collaborative projects and problem-solving. The growth in our students, both academically and socially, is a testament to their hard work and the wonderful support they receive from school and home. The laughter and chatter of students as they connect with friends, explore new ideas, and enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a vibrant community.

A few important points to be aware of this week:-

ELC after hours play
A gentle reminder to all families that after school, students should remain with their parents and are under your supervision and care. While we love seeing the children enjoy some free play after a busy school day, please ensure that all play is closely monitored, and that school equipment is used respectfully and cared for.

Water play is not permitted outside of school hours, and we ask that families support us in upholding this rule to ensure the safety and longevity of our resources.

At 3:45 pm, OSH begins using our outdoor spaces, and we kindly ask that families using the playground or other areas move to the oval if you wish to stay and play a little longer. This helps to keep all students safe and ensures that OSH operations run smoothly for those children in their care.

Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping us create a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all our children.

Harmony Day

On Friday, 21 March we will be celebrating Harmony Day. Students are encouraged to wear something orange as we celebrate cultural diversity, inclusiveness, and respect for all. Let’s come together to embrace the richness of our community’s cultural tapestry.

We would like to kindly remind you that the pre-order cut-off date for school photos is fast approaching, Wednesday, 19th March. Please make sure to place your photo orders before this date to ensure your child’s photos are printed and ready.
