Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful week we’ve had across our school community! A huge well done to all students who participated in our recent Cross Country events, both at the ELC and in Years 3–6. We were truly blessed with fantastic weather and it was a joy to see so many smiling faces, determined efforts and supportive cheers from peers and families alike. Thank you to everyone who came along to encourage and celebrate the children’s participation and perseverance. Events like these are not just about physical activity, they’re about community spirit, resilience, and participation, and we saw all of that and more on display this week.

Wishing you all a peaceful and positive week ahead. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office if you need anything.

Warm regards,

Hannah Lockwood-Jones & Andrew Johnston

Co Curricular clubs

All confirmed Club bookings are for the full 6-week duration, and we encourage consistent attendance to maximise the benefit for all participants. Your child’s active involvement will greatly contribute to the success of the club.

We still have a few spots available in the following clubs for Primary students (Years 3-6). If you haven’t already received confirmation for a Club, please click here to make a booking.

  • Hockey
  • Paint by Numbers
  • Chess

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a rewarding term of Co-Curricular activities.

Cross-Country

This Friday, we will be running both our ELC and 3-6 cross country events. This is always a wonderful occasion and one where we are able to celebrate the efforts and achievement of all students. As well as celebrating those talented and passionate runners, we are equally proud of those who find this kind of event more difficult yet have the resilience and determination to take part, which is usually recognised by the other students who roar them on as loudly as the winners.

We’re looking forward to seeing all the students participating and hope you’ll be able to join us for this special day.

Warm regards,

Andrew Johnston & Hannah Lockwood-Jones

We’ve had a fantastic start to Term 2, with students settling back into routines and classrooms filled with energy and enthusiasm for the term ahead. It’s been wonderful to see students reconnecting with their peers and engaging so positively with their learning.

This week brings a number of special events across both the ELC and Primary Years. We are especially looking forward to our Mothers & Special Guests Day in the ELC, a cherished opportunity to celebrate the wonderful people who support and nurture our students every day.   In Primary, we’re excited to continue Rookie Debating Workshops for Year 6 students, and our Year 5’s are preparing for an engaging excursion to the Gravity Discovery Centre.

Looking ahead, Primary Co-Curricular Clubs will begin in Week 3, offering students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 a fantastic chance to explore new interests and build friendships outside the classroom.

We hope you have a great week and look forward to sharing these special moments with you and your children.

ELC Mothers & Special Guests Day Celebration

Friday, 9th May

We are eagerly preparing to celebrate and honour the incredible mothers and important people in our students’ lives. At our school, we recognise that in a family there are many special people who play significant roles in our students’ lives. Whether it’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, or family friends, we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of all these special individuals.

Warm regards,

Hannah Lockwood-Jones & Andrew Johnston
