Dear Families,

As we draw near the end of another wonderful year at St Stephen’s School, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the support, encouragement, and partnership you have shown throughout 2025.

Your ongoing commitment to our students and community has been invaluable. It has played a significant role in the many achievements and moments of growth we have celebrated together this year.

Reflecting on 2025, it has been exciting to witness a blend of treasured traditions alongside many new initiatives and ‘firsts’. This balance reflects the continual evolution of our school while remaining grounded in the values and identity that have shaped our strong foundation.

With warmest wishes and sincere appreciation.

Hannah Lockwood-Jones & Andrew Johnston

Free Dress Day

On Thursday, students will have a non-uniform day, this is the second last day of term. As we have already completed our fundraising for BACA “Kids in Care” and the Uniting WA collection this term, there will be no gold coin donation on this day. Please ensure that students wear clothing that is suitable for activities where they may get a little dirty, as they will be clearing out their belongings and enjoying some fun activities in the morning.

Colour Run (Year 6)

On the final day of school, the Year 6 students will participate in a Colour Run.  Students may want to bring/wear a white shirt for this event.

Staffing update

We are writing to let you know that Eryn-May Wicks will be leaving St Stephen’s School at the end of this term as she takes up a new K–12 role in another school. Miss Wicks has served the St Stephen’s community as the Biblical Studies Teacher for the last 2 years and, in that time, has served the school community with care and dedication.

After a rigorous recruitment campaign, we are delighted to announce that Teagan Dempers will be replacing Miss Wicks as the Biblical Studies Teacher. Miss Dempers is a highly passionate teacher and comes with experience leading worship and junior church in the church she attends.

Over the next week, Miss Dempers will be meeting with Miss Wicks and other Biblical Studies teachers throughout St Stephen’s School to support her in preparing for the year ahead.

We are thankful for Miss Wicks’ contribution to St Stephen’s and the way she has supported our students in their understanding of the Bible and the life of Jesus. Please join us in wishing her every blessing as she takes this next step in her professional journey.
