They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Akayla Fairclough, Year 9, won a gold medal in the U13/14 girls beach sprint relay, with her team. She also made it to the final of the individual girls U14 beach sprint. She placed 7th in that race, i.e. 7th in the country.
Y10 SCUBA Try Dive
The Year 10 Marine and Maritime Studies students had the opportunity to participate in a SCUBA Try Dive at AQWA, allowing them to experience the marine environment up close and personal. The students also got to experience the joy of SCUBA diving for the first time, helping them decide if that is something they would be interested in doing in upper school, as part of the Marine and Maritime Studies ATAR or General programs.

Care Packs – Support Those In Need
Whilst many members of our community have been affected by the current safety protocols associated with COVID 19, few are more impacted than local charity providers and those they serve, the most vulnerable in our community.
For the remainder of Term One, Duncraig Secondary would like to construct care packs for those in need living around Perth. As you do your weekly shopping, please consider adding a few of the items below to your trolley and arrange with your child to drop them off in the marked box outside Student Services. The Deans and I will work with our year 12s to create these packs before sending them on to local services where they will make their way into the hands of those that need them most.
Our Service Learning programme has been affected by our current settings and our students have been unable to participate in the same service activities that take place in any given term. This collection acknowledges this gap and sits as an addition to our Winter Appeal and our Christmas appeal.
Donations of second-hand small backpacks, handbags and reusable shopping bags will also be accepted.
