RITE JOURNEY BEGINS

Year 9s gathered with families, friends and mentors at Hillarys Beach at dawn to take part in their Rite Journey Departure Ceremony, marking the official beginning of their 12-month journey through the program. Students and parents swapped letters, prayed and farewelled one another before students began a 13km walk to City Beach to complete the ceremony.

THANKSGIVING

Our community celebrated our annual Thanksgiving Worship last night at Carramar’s Sports and Learning Centre. We welcomed guest speakers from our community, enjoyed amazing performances from cross-campus musicians and choirs, and acknowledged our long-serving staff members with special awards.

HARMONY WEEK

Students celebrated Harmony Week in fun and diverse ways – from creating artwork to enjoying delicious treats and lunches together. There was also a sea of orange shirts across the campus last Friday to show support for the annual event.

TEDx PERTH

House Captains joined young thinkers, innovators, entrepreneurs, campaigners and change makers from WA to celebrate ideas worth spreading and strive for a better future at the TEDx Youth Perth Event on the weekend.

Harmony Day in Carana

Carana students participated in activities during Homeroom for Harmony Day. Each homeroom had a life sized cut out of a person that was filled with outlines of each of their hands. Inside the hands they coloured the flag of the country representing their backgrounds. The house captains cooked up pancakes and had them on sale to raise funds for an orphanage in South Africa.

RHINOCEROS SIGHTING!

Year 11 and 12 Drama students will bring Eugene Ionesco’s Rhinoceros to the stage next month! Presented over three acts, the play serves as both a commentary and warning against social conformity or “herd mentality” and the rise of Fascism in WWII. We are looking forward to performances set to give audiences laughs, empathy and plenty of head scratching. https://loom.ly/GpYApz4

Nipper State Championship

We wanted to share with the school the achievements of Beau (Duncraig) and Mitchell (Carramar) at the State Surf Life Saving Nipper Carnival with the boys picking up a silver medal in the sprint relay.

This only 8 weeks since Mitchell’s broke his arm in the flags at the Country Carnival.

Congratulations boys!
