Not long now! Very exciting.
Before we get to Wednesday 11 September though, we have a couple more gatherings in preparation.
Monday 29 July(that’s right….next week) – 4pm to 5pm at Duncraig Campus – a bit of a get to know each other session.
Monday 26 August(week 6) – 4pm – TBA – most likely a session to make final arrangements with itinerary and packing and to answer unresolved questions.
I sent an email off to the Principal of Frog Hollow School in Purnululu. Below is an excerpt that you may want to consider in personal preparation…
“I would suggest the students look at our facebook page and the website. I would recommend they study the history of the area, the impact of cattle stations on Gija people and the removal from those stations when equal wages were introduced resulting in Gija people being rendered unemployed, homeless and penniless. This is the foundation on which Frog Hollow station was built and where the school now stands. There is also a detailed exhibit at the Boola Bardip museum about Purnululu with an interactive story.”

Is Monday the 26th meeting for students only or do parents come too?
Hi Natasha. Yes, Parents are strongly encouraged to come on Monday 26 August. We just need to work out whether its for the whole session or just towards the end of the session.
