The developmental transition from childhood to adolescence brings many significant physical, psychological, social and emotional changes. Adjusting to these changes can be a challenging time for both parents and young people. This evenings presentation will provide information about the changes to expect in children as they journey towards adolescence, discuss puberty and mental health, outline the best ways parents can support and respond to the changing needs of children in their transition from primary school to high school, and provide practical tips highlighting how parents can effectively communicate and partner with the school to assist children to feel more confident and ease the transition to high school.
