Brendon Quick and his Year 12 Geography class headed to the city to investigate the use of space in Perth’s Central Business District (CBD). Students had the opportunity to investigate the use of this space. Students were also given a tour of the construction area relating to the new Perth City Link. They were able to determine and analyse the upcoming changes to the area. Afterwards, the staff and students walked to Northbridge, where they continued to investigate the use of space within Perth’s Inner Mixed Zones (IMZ).
Interaction with the urban development is essential to Year 12 Geography and students enjoyed taking the skills they learned in the class room to the practical areas of the CBD and IMZ.
