A meeting for all students interested in representing the school in the Western Australia Debating League will be held in A7 at lunchtime on the 15th February. Students who have no experience of public speaking or debating are particularly welcome, as are those who have previously represented the school in previous years. Coaching for all teams will be provided by the school. Public speaking encourages critical thinking, fosters engagement with global issues, and equips students with lifelong skills and the confidence to pursue their potential. WADL aims to do this by ensuring all WA school students have access to challenging debating competitions, high quality resources, and purpose-built development opportunities.
