WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ

September 24, 2019

What a wonderful few weeks we’ve had watching Carramar and Duncraig Primary’s performances of the Wizard of Oz. Congratulations to everyone who helped bring the magical production to life and thank you to all those who joined the audience to support our students!

WORKING HARD

July 30, 2019

Year 10 students rounded out Term 2 with a week of work experience, learning about the world of work first hand. Students were introduced to various roles including physios, vets, engineers, electricians and chefs, just to name a few. Thank you to the employers who provided a placement for our students and ensured they had both meaningful work and interesting insights into the workplace.

Year 11 and 12 Deadlines

March 15, 2019

Parents of Year 11 and 12 students are reminded that the last date for subject changes and (in Year 12) applications for Special Provisions for the 2019 ATAR examinations is Thursday, 4 April 2019. Year 12 students are required to sit ATAR course examinations. Where the course has both written and practical examinations, students are required to sit for both of these examinations. Students who do not sit an ATAR course examination and do not have an approved sickness/misadventure application for that course, will not have the units contribute to the calculation of the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).

Further information from SCSA is available in the Year 12 Information Handbook:https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/publications/year-12-information.

Careers Expo

May 14, 2018

As students enter High School their thoughts start to turn towards their future pathway and where that might lead.  This can be equally daunting and exciting for students. To help our students make informed choices we are hosting a Careers Expo on Thursday 14 June from 4.15 – 6pm at our Carramar Campus.

There will be representatives from universities, TAFEs, and various industries who will be available to answer any questions you might have about courses, admission procedures, employment opportunities or apprenticeship pathways. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about your own particular pathway and find out what opportunities are available for you in the future. We strongly recommend that you make the time to come along and find out more.

The year 10 students will be taken by bus to Carramar immediately after school and all other students and their families are encouraged to join them at the Carramar campus. All students will be required to make their own way home.

We look forward to seeing you there!

If you have any questions please call

South African Service Tour Kicks Off

April 10, 2018

After a long flight we have safely arrived in Cape Town, where we received a hearty welcome from District 6’s Guest House. All in all, between flights and our homecoming, we enjoyed three breakfasts. We are all a little heavier as a consequence.
Needing to get the blood pumping, some students pondered on a Table Mountain hike. The teachers however decided shopping at Waterfront will be a better cardio choice, followed by a cable car trip to the mountain top.
The views never cease to amaze, neither does the rotating floor of the cable car.
After a hearty meal at Spur, we headed back home, all in a Zombie haze. Donation packing and organisation lingered and was achieved in one epic group effort. We prevailed. We are all very tired, as so are headed off to bed at 8:00pm.
