WORDS OF WISDOM

February 8, 2019

This week we welcomed back some of our Class of 2018 students!

At the whole school assembly, the new members of the 90s Club (top scoring ATAR students) passed on their advice to our current students, giving them a spark of inspiration as they begin to navigate another school year.

LEADING SCHOOL

February 7, 2019

We are proud to have been recognised as the only Western Australian Lead School in The Rite Journey program.

The Rite Journey has now been a part of St Stephen’s School for seven years, guiding our Year 9s to become self-aware, responsible and resilient young adults.

SOFT SKILLS HOLD KEY

February 6, 2019

Did you spot St Stephen’s School in The West Australian’s Choosing a School liftout today? Mrs Beare discusses how we harness ‘soft skills’ such as critical thinking, creativity, resilience and versatility to prepare our students for the world beyond the school walls.
“We can’t predict the jobs of the future but we can prepare students for the changing world.”

Fund Raising at Grill’d Hillarys

February 5, 2019

Alfie Jamieson has a fundraising jar at Grill’d (Hillarys) for the month of February.

He is fundraising for the South Africa Service Tour.

When you order a meal at Grill’d you will be given bottle caps, you can then place the bottle caps into one of three different fundraising jars.

Grill’d Local Matters began in 2011 as a way to give back to the communities. So far they have raised over $4,000,000 for more than 20,000 local community groups across Australia.

The objective is to fill the Alfie jar!

What a smashing idea!
