IT’S LUNCHTIME!
April 8, 2020Need some inspiration for today’s lunch? Mrs Herd shows us how to jazz up instant noodles by making stir-fry with ingredients you’ll have in your fridge and freezer.
Students please note: wash your hands before cooking and don’t forget to do the dishes!
ALL NATURAL
March 13, 2020Jessica Sladden, Year 10, is experiencing a new approach to food service during her work experience at the Swan Valley Gourmet Farm Café. It’s a sustainable farm café that caterers for all kinds of food allergies and diets – it’s even Coeliac Australia Accredited. Jessica has been loving her time learning different skills at this quirky café!

March 5, 2020St Stephen’s School Lakeside Joondalup Community Food Cart Run
September 19, 2019We are seeking interested families to participate in the School’s new community service. Once a week we visit the cafes at Lakeside Joondalup to collect their leftover produce at the conclusion of trade. This food is then collected by UnitingCare West Merriwa and distributed to families and schools in the northern suburbs that are currently experiencing hardship.
We share the roster along with our Carramar Primary and Secondary teachers and students, Rotary-our cart sponsors, and UnitingCare West. Your commitment is totally up to you; once a month, twice a month or even once every three months, whatever you wish. The run commences at 4.45pm and concludes at 5.30pm.
If you are interested in participating as a family or even with friends, please contact me on 0429 153 912 or email me volunteers@ststephens.wa.edu.au

GIVING IS THE GREATEST ACT OF GRACE
August 8, 2019St Stephen’s School’s Service Learning program spread its wings even further this week with the launch of the brand-new Joondalup Food Cart service – a St Stephen’s initiative in partnership with Lakeside Joondalup, Rotary and for the benefit of UnitingCare West. The cart will be manned by volunteers, including our staff and students, to pick up unsold food from cafes and food outlets at Lakeside Joondalup to go to those in need through UnitingCare West Merriwa. Congrats to all involved! If you have always wanted to volunteer but don’t know where to start, visit our new-look Volunteers website where our Volunteers team can match you with a giving opportunity to suit your needs.
