FETE FUNDS

December 10, 2019

The funds raised from last year’s Fete have now been allocated and are making a difference around the Duncraig Campus. The old Primary Smartboard 680 is being replaced with new Smart Interactive Display Panels – at the Primary and ELC (with the school paying for one at Carramar). The 86-inch Ultra HD Displays include SMART Learning Suite including digital whiteboard web browser and wireless screen mirroring. They will allow the teacher to create interactive classes and cloud-based lessons across multiple devices ensuring hands-on learning through 3D interactive resources and collaborative cloud-sharing lessons.
Other exciting additions include new music stands and a trolley, which are already being enjoyed by the primary music staff and students; new Interschool sports uniforms; new art boards for better displays of our young creatives’ works and a range of new reading resources.

Our deepest thanks to the amazing Fete committee whose hard work and time continues to benefit all.

FETE FANFARE

November 1, 2018

The 2018 St Stephen’s School Fete was a feast for the senses as the bustling crowds enjoyed the sound of students singing, children running around with glitter in their hair, the smell of South African sausages sizzling away and the bright colours of cake, plant and craft stalls. All of this just as they arrived, with visitors presented with more than 90 attractions spotted around the beautifully-decorated grounds.

There was something to please everyone on the day, which was a resounding success, drawing big crowds who were able to see what St Stephen’s School is about.

I wandered around filled with pride seeing our core value of Community being lived and loved by all.

The day’s success comes down to the work of many. First of all, the commitment of our Fete Parent Committee. Your love for the school and dedication to bringing this event to life is truly astounding. I know how hard you all worked, the extra hours you put in and the energy it took to create such a wonderful day for all. Your support and devotion is rewarding for our whole community.

To our staff members who worked alongside the committee to make sure all went to plan, I thank you for your loyalty to our vision of being a Christ-centred, student-focused and community-based school.

Then there are the stallholders, community members, visitors, students, volunteers and more! I can’t even start to thank each person by name as there would be too many to list and I wouldn’t want to miss any deserved praise but we really enjoyed having all of you there on the day and couldn’t have enjoyed the success without your help.

As we reflect on another wonderful community event as we head toward the end of the year, it is a great time to reflect on living by our values of Faith, Service, Learning, Care and Community.

Book Donations

August 9, 2018

You may be an avid reader, but the dusty pile of books in your room is starting to be a nuisance. You don’t have the heart to throw your old books away, but you don’t have much of a use for them anymore.

We need book donations to run another successful book stall at the fete.

Please bring any books you have outgrown or no longer need to Student Services or Primary Office.  If it is easier, bring them to the shed in the bottom car park.

Shed will be open every Tuesday from Aug 14, at approx. 7.45am – 8.45am.

THANK YOU!
