Arts Tour

April 28, 2017

In the second week of the holidays upper school arts students from Carramar and Duncraig took part in an Arts Tour to Melbourne and Sydney.

Students were lucky enough to take part in various workshops from national institutions, view theatre from internationally recognised companies and view art works from state gallery’s.

The students immersed themselves in art of all disciplines and will take away skills and experiences that will enable them to both further their immediate studies and inspire their careers.

Excursion to Sculpture by the Sea

March 24, 2017

Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe is staged on the beautiful Cottesloe Beach.

The exhibition is featured from the sea wall all the way along the sand towards North Cottesloe and on the surrounding grassed areas creating a beautiful sculpture park.

In its 13th year, the exhibition featured works from various artists from across the globe.

The spectacular exhibition stretches along the white sands of Cottesloe Beach overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Year 9  art students went on an excursion armed with paper and pencils.

They heard from 3 different artists who spoke about their ideas, process, use of materials and the meaning and purpose of their work.

The excursion is an annual event that visual art students attend – leading up to a sculptural project that is influenced by what they have seen and learnt excursion.
