The recent fund-raising event, Akwaaba, was a tremendous success with a fantastic attendance.

You really came together as a team tonight. Your initiative and willingness to get involved was amazing. Thank you! Thank you to all the parents and everyone who purchased tickets. Community Food Freezer

October 13, 2017

Located in the Get Well Room in the Primary School. The purpose of this freezer is to support families from Pre-Kindy to Year 12 at SSS Duncraig with a home cooked meal when they are going through a very difficult family situation.

If you would like to contribute to this freezer by cooking a meal we would greatly appreciate it. We are looking for simple, nutritious meals that are both family and freezer friendly. These include meat and vegetable based casseroles, lasagnes, hearty soups and mild curries. Please do not use any nut or nut products. Please include all components of the meal e.g.

Tin foil containers and labels available next to the freezer.  Bring the frozen meal to school and place in the freezer for another family to enjoy!

Thank you for your support.

So long, farewell. The Class of 2017 say goodbye

September 22, 2017

Thursday was all about celebrating the Class of 2017.

Year 12 families were invited to attend this special farewell.

The day started early with the house farewells, after which parents were invited to enjoy a relaxed and delicious morning tea before they made their way to the gym for the traditional, and much anticipated, leavers assembly.

At the assembly, students had the opportunity to thank and farewell staff and put their own unique perspective on their time at St Stephen’s. Mr. Titlestad addressed the students and wished the group every success in their new ventures beyond the school.  After some video compilation’s, Mr. Richmond spoke. The theme of the assembly was the Oscars.

The Year 12 chosen speaker was Tim Corey who spoke on behalf of the leavers and was thoughtful and articulate as he spoke of being proud of the school he has been a part of, and thanked teachers and Mr. Titlestad for everything they have done.  It was an excellent opportunity for the Year 12 group to reflect on their time at St Stephen’s, and on what lay ahead for them in the next phase in their life journeys.

If that wasn’t enough, the cohort also had the Graduation Dinner at the Joondalup Resort later that evening.

Here are a few snap shots of the morning activities:

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” – Proverbs 16:3

Relocation of Student Bike Racks

September 18, 2017

The student bike racks will be relocated in the next holiday break to two areas on the campus. One set will be placed next to the secondary basketball courts near Timae House, the others adjacent to the Alethea House. The new locations can be viewed on the attached map.  Duncraig Bike Racks 2017

Students can access the bike racks via Doveridge Drive, Hepburn Road or the cycle path on the eastern side of the campus. When on school grounds it is an expectation that students dismount, and walk their bikes to the racks. Please remind your sons and daughters that it is expected that all student bikes are secured using a lock when on campus.
