Sport Uniform – Footwear

March 11, 2020

Dear Students/Parents

As we begin a new academic year, this is just a timely reminder about the school sport uniform policy on appropriate footwear.

Please refer to the Uniform section in the Parental Form and Policy Handbook:
“Well supporting sports shoes, cross-training shoes highly recommended (no Dunlop volleys, skate or leisure type shoes permitted).”

Its highly advisable for your child’s development that they wear supportive footwear when they are participating in all aspects of Physical Education.

Currently, shoes such as “Nike Air Force One” (see description below), are not advisable for Physical Education lessons.

“…the Nike Air Force 1 revolutionized the sneaker scene and is now one of the most recognizable and beloved streetwear sneakers around.”

Wearing these types of shoe, that do not provide adequate support during physical activity may cause short/long term injury.

If you have any further questions please consult with either myself or your PE teacher as to what is an appropriate shoe to wear.
