Parents of Year 7 students enjoyed spending time together at the Sundowner on Friday 28 February. It was an evening filled with laughter and chat as parents and staff marked the successful beginning of the high school journey for our families.

A reminder that Thursday’s timetable will be Monday A lessons. It has been changed in SEQTA. This is to take account for the large number of Mondays that are missed during the school year.
Year 10 students from Carramar and Duncraig got to work at Bunnings Whitfords this week ahead of an exciting adventure! Students set to travel on the South Africa Service Tour learnt some handy skills in preparation for the trip, where they will help with building projects at JJ Haven Orphanage.
There will be a sausage sizzle at Bunnings Mindarie on Monday, 2nd March to raise money for the Year 11 Bethany Home Tour to Malaysia. It would be great if any parents or families who are in the area could come and meet those going on the tour and buy a pristine barbequed sausage while they are there to help the cause.
St Stephen’s School is hosting a group of Japanese primary school students from 27 March – 3 April (1 week ONLY) and we are looking for families within the school community who are willing to host! Hosting gives your family a wonderful opportunity to make an international friendship and integrate a new family member into your daily routine. You will also receive a payment of $315 for hosting a student.

There’s never a dull moment for Logan McCormick Year 11 who has just taken out first place at the Under 18s State Kiteboarding Freestyle Titles. He’s also just recently travelled to South Australia and South Africa to compete in the sport. Well done Logan!
Paul Litherland from Surf Online Safe will be attending St Stephen’s School Duncraig to conduct a parent presentation on the subject of cyber safety. Paul is Perth’s most sought after Internet Awareness presenter and as a former WA Police Officer, can offer some great knowledge and experience to help parents better understand the risks of the online world.
