Maritime Museum Excursion

April 9, 2018

The Year 12 Marine Students from spent the morning at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle. They had the opportunity to see the artefacts and remains recovered from the wreck site of the Batavia  which many of them had the chance to dive on at the Abrolhos Islands last year!

In the afternoon they visited IFAP to see first hand the intense training you need to complete before working in the Maritime Industry. Students were climbing in life rafts, saw helicopters fall into the pool, learnt how to extinguish fires and escape from burning buildings!

Bon Voyage

April 7, 2018

Anticipation is high for some of our Year 10 students who are preparing to travel to South Africa in just one day! Students will work in schools and orphanages as part of the St Stephen’s Global South Africa Service Tour, recently taking part in a Bunnings training workshop to prepare. This amazing opportunity will see them immersed in South African culture while working to improve the lives of underprivileged children.

Great Team Work

March 10, 2018

Our CAS Duncraig Juniors took on Peter Moyes Anglican Community School (PMA) this week, with a mixed bag of results and a great display of sportsmanship overall.

The Junior Boys hosted PMA at home, winning three of the four games. The Year 8/9 Boys Tennis won 3/1, Year 9 Boys Basketball took the game 39-29 and The Saints Year 8/9 Boys Cricket smashed out a score of 10/231 over PMA’s 10/194. Year 8 Boys Basketball worked well as a team but were pipped by PMA 54-22.

Our Junior Girls played at PMA. The Year 8/9 Girls Tennis team also won 3-1, the Girls Year 8 Basketball came out on top with 29-22 and the Year 9s slam dunked with 45-8. Junior Touch played hard but just missed out.

Good luck next week to all our CAS sportspeople against St Mark’s as we approach the finals!

Year 12 Ball

February 13, 2018

The School Ball is a major social event for our Year 12 students. It was held last Saturday at the Pan Pacific Hotel. The students dressed to impress and danced the night away. It was amazing to see the transformation from everyday student to stunning, incredible young adults who looked like movie stars on the red carpet. Students and staff members enjoyed a lovely meal in an opulent setting.
