Important Reminders for Tour Students…

Dear Tour Students,

Just a few reminders:

  1. We have a lunchtime Sausage Sizzle fundraiser at the St. Stephen’s School Duncraig Primary on Wednesday, 25th of October. Tour Student help is needed to help run this fundraiser, so I will set up a ‘sign-up’ sheet outside my office if you would like to volunteer some time between 11:00am and 2pm on the day. We only need about 10 helpers, so it will be first-in-best-dressed in terms of signing up. Those who volunteer… please keep in mind that it is YOUR responsibility to notify your teachers a couple days in advance that you will be involved in Service Learning on this day. Don’t wait until the day to notify them.
  2. We will have our fortnightly lunchtime meeting next TUESDAY, the 24th of October (due to the Primary Sausage Sizzle fundraiser on the Wednesday). Please set yourself a reminder, as attendance is compulsory.
  3. After next week’s fundraiser, I will update the fundraising thermometer in the column to the right to reflect both the Drum-For-A-Cause and Primary Sausage Sizzle . –>
  4. Keep up your fundraising efforts! There are lots of opportunities…you just have to look for them.

Drum-For-A-Cause Fundraiser

Well done to everyone for being proactive and helping out at the Drumming night tonight. You really came together as a team tonight. Your initiative and willingness to get involved was amazing. Thank you!

Thank you to all the parents and everyone who purchased tickets. Your contributions will go toward our service initiates and greatly benefit children in South Africa.

Well done again on a fantastic effort!

Ticket Sales for Drum-for-a-Cause

Tour Students,

Thank you to those students who have already handed me the money you fundraised via your Drum-for-a-cause ticket sales! Please remember to drop your ticket money off to me before the end of term if possible, so I can pay the Akwaaba drummers and organise the sausages/rolls, sauces, etc. before next term starts.

Remember that you can earn $10 from every ticket sold and count it towards your personal fundraising totals. If you are having difficulty selling to family and at your organisations, you can try selling to neighbours, members of your church or friends at school. For those of you who would like more tickets to sell, please eMail Miss Erasmus (Gillian.Erasmus@ststephens.wa.edu.au).

Just for advanced notice, on the night of the drumming event (12th October), we ask that each tour student bring a salad (and possibly salad tongs) to share on the evening. We will talk more about that at our next lunchtime meeting (Wednesday, 20th September).

Sausage Sizzle Sponsorship Letter

Tour Students and Parents,

Some of you have asked for sponsorship letters to assist you with a sausage sizzle. There are 3 downloadable letters below that might help you with this. There is a letter to request a sausage sizzle day/time and 2 letters requesting support in the form of sausages and rolls for your sausage sizzle. They are in Word format, so you can edit them if you wish.
