Term 1 – Notices- Week 1 | Duncraig Primary Notices

We wish to extend a huge welcome to all of you for 2024 at St Stephen’s school. For many of you, it is welcome back but for others, we are delighted to welcome you to our community.

It has been wonderful to see the excitement and energy of the students as they entered today, albeit mixed with a few nerves. However, as the day has gone on, the students have settled into the day really well.

We would like to thank those of you who attended the ELC information evening last week. it was great to be able to pass on key information to you and give you a chance to meet your child’s teacher and see the classroom environment.

This Wednesday, 31^st January 2024, we will be holding our information evening for years 3-6, starting at 6pm in the theatre before heading to your child’s classroom. We look forward to seeing you there.

As a follow up to the ELC information evening and in preparation for the 3-6, please see this link to the parent handbook. Here, you will find most key information relating to the school, including school hours, canteen, what to do if your child is absent, the uniform expectations and much more. This is a great first port of call, if you have any questions.

Assembly and Worship

We would like to draw your attention to one alteration in our weekly routine for this year, which is the day and time of our Assemblies and Worship in Years 3-6. Worship, continues to be weekly, but has moved to a Friday afternoon, starting at 2.30pm. Assemblies have moved to a Monday afternoon, starting at 2.30pm. We will be updating the school calendar in the coming days to allow you to see when your child’s class assembly is.

Music Notes

All Primary Music Ensembles (except Guitar Ensemble) start in week 2. This is a summary of rehearsal days. Please note that Primary Chorale has changed this year to be on a Friday and The Minstrels is on Monday afternoon.
