Term 1 Running Club

All students in Kindy to Year 6 and their families are encouraged to join Miss Uglow on the Primary Green every Thursday morning to run as many laps around the Green as you can! No matter what your ability is, come on down to earn House points, improve your fitness, build your confidence and run your way towards a healthier lifestyle.

Each participating individual will be given their own Running Club lapathon card to count their laps every week. Runners will earn 1 Running Club House Point for every lap they complete around the Primary Green. Running Club lapathon cards must be left with Miss Uglow at the end of each session. You will use the same running club card each week unless you have reached 100 laps… after that you will need a new one!

100 LAPS CLUB

We will meet on the Primary Green every THURSDAY morning from 8.00am – 8.25am. Come dressed in your sport uniform or normal school uniform and running shoes. You can still participate even if you are not dressed in your sport uniform! Everyone is welcome – you do not need to sign up to participate in this club. Run at your own pace and come and go as you please. Parents/guardians and younger siblings are encouraged to join in too. Happy running everyone!

Children’s University

We have had a great interest in the program this year.  My inbox has been full of emails – a good problem to have!

I would like to meet with all students who have emailed me about the program to meet with me in the primary forum next Tuesday 21st March at 8.15 am.  Please let me know if your child is unable to make this time.

In the meantime, you can all keep your passports of learning updated and don’t forget your evidence.  For new students to the program, you may already be doing things like after school sports, art, music lessons etc. which will all go towards your graduation.  I will give you more details about how to count this time on Tuesday.

2023 March Challenge – You’ve Got Talent!

Imagine you have been chosen to appear on a talent show.  This is a show that features performers competing for a top prize of $100,000,000!

What is your talent? Are you going to perform a dance routine or magic show?  Maybe you’d like to sing or tell some jokes.  Or do you have a different, unique talent?  Will you perform alone or in a group?  Design your act and then let me know what you’d do in the 90 second audition.

Think about: Your costume; Props; Music; Hair and make-up; Lighting

Submit your design in words, pictures or video to me for 1 hour of learning in your learning passport.  Passport signing sessions will begin Tuesday 4th April in the primary forum.

For new students, this is not a compulsory task and no deadline, just an opportunity to accrue hours towards your graduation.  If it sounds like fun, give it a go!

Kind regards

Dr Janelle Morris
