PJ Day Success!
Thank you for the hundreds of pairs of socks donated on PJ Day! We will ensure that these donations are given to Uniting Care WA to help those in need during the cold winter months ahead.
Arts & Academic Festival 2023
Thank you so much to students and parents for working to make sure all Arts & Academics entry forms were submitted complete and on time. We have nearly 600 forms to process. Entries are now closed. Students will be given an individual sheet detailing all of their entries very soon and a timetable will be made available as soon as possible.
Term 2 running Club
All students in Kindy to Year 6 and their families are encouraged to join Miss Uglow on the Primary Green every Thursday morning to run as many laps around the Green as you can! No matter what your ability is, come on down to earn House points, improve your fitness, build your confidence and run your way towards a healthier lifestyle.
Each participating individual will be given their own Running Club lapathon card to count their laps every week. Runners will earn 1 Running Club House Point for every lap they complete around the Primary Green. Running Club lapathon cards must be left with Miss Uglow at the end of each session. You will use the same running club card each week unless you have reached 100 laps… after that you will need a new one!
WEEK 6 RUNNING CLUB House Points: (drum roll please…)
Congratulations to PARRESIA House for running the most laps in Week 6! Keep up the great work everyone!
100 LAPS Club
Congratulations to Bryan Zhou (3BE) who joined the 100 Laps Club by completing 100 laps on his running club card!
We will meet on the Primary Green every THURSDAY morning from 8.00am – 8.25am. Come dressed in your sport uniform or normal school uniform and running shoes. You can still participate even if you are not dressed in your sport uniform! Everyone is welcome – you do not need to sign up to participate in this club. Run at your own pace and come and go as you please. Parents/guardians and younger siblings are encouraged to join in too.
St Stephen’s School Primary School Rock Band
It is with great excitement that the music department announces the birth of the St Stephen’s School Primary School Rock Band. The band will be comprised of students in years 4 to 6 who will rehearse one morning per week before school with the view to perform at school events, assemblies and concerts. This will be a fun opportunity to put all those hours of instrumental (and vocal) practice to good use and to learn the art of making music with others! This is a trial and it will run over Semester 2, with continuance in 2024 to be determined during Term 4.
To be part of this exciting trial, students will need to:
CURRENTLY be taking (and will continue to take) individual lessons on their instrument. These individual lessons may be taken with either an external or internal tutor and proof of this will be required.
- Attend an audition in which they will need to play a song/piece of their choosing that is at least 30 seconds long. This should demonstrate the level of the performer as accurately as possible. (Don’t stress too much! It’s not a test!)
We are looking for musicians who can play the following instruments:
- Guitar (acoustic or electric)
- Bass Guitar
- Vocals (singing)
We are currently fielding expressions of interest so that we can get everything running smoothly. If you are someone who plays an instrument (or sings) and you would like the chance to be part of our rock/pop band then please do one of the following by Wednesday 14 June:
- Send an email to email@example.com with the following information:
- Instrument you play
- How long you have been undertaking lessons with the instrument
- Collect a form from the Reception Office, complete and return to the Reception Office.
