Dear Families and Friends,
There has been lots of activity across the whole Primary School over the beginning of term, including Celebrating 101 days of school, class assemblies, camps, music celebrations and rehearsals, to name but a few. It’s so lovely to see the students experiencing different events across the school. Thank you for your support and huge thanks to our wonderful educators across the School for creating, organising and delivering these events.
This week across the School these things are happening:-
- There will be a Year 5 camp information evening on Wednesday 18 August at 6.30pm.
- 3F will be presenting their class assembly on Friday 20 August at 2.30pm.
- On Friday 20 August our ELC students will be attending the Edu Book Week Performance 9:15am – 10:15am. Unfortunately, this is a student-only event.
Please also keep an eye on your child’s class blog for any further information relating to activities.
As we continue this term and year with such privileges to meet together mask free, we must keep in our prayers the other states in the country that are currently navigating lockdowns and rises in Covid numbers. We are aware of the impacts this will have on individuals, families and businesses in these areas. Many of our communities here at the School have loved ones across the country. Please ensure that you continue to extend kindness and support to these community members over the coming weeks. If you are personally affected and require support from the school please don’t hesitate to contact Jarrod or me.
We are blessed to have many parents and staff that regularly pray for our School community. This has been greatly appreciated over the years espically when we have been navigating challenging times.
24 “‘“The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
and give you peace.”’

Hope you have a wonderful week.

2021 Inter House Athletics Carnival
Wednesday 8 September – jumps, throws, 800m
Friday 10 September – sprints and team games
I am in need of more parent help on Wednesday 8 September for the jumps and throws. The role would involve managing an event like shot put eg measuring. There will be a staff member plus high school students helping you. There are two sessions on the day. Session one from 8:35a to 10:40a and session two from 11a to 1p. If you are able to help then please let me know if you can do both sessions or just one session. It will be possible for you to disappear for a moment to watch your child do their attempt if you wish to. Let me know at daniel.parker@ststephens.wa.edu.au if you are able to help.
Thursday morning sprint training and Friday morning jumps and throws training: It has been wonderful to see many students attending these sessions, obviously keen to be active and improve. I just want to remind students that whilst we want you to enjoy these sessions, please ensure that your behaviour is always considerate and encouraging. Let’s create an environment that allows all students to pursue their very best. Parents that are able to attend the Friday morning jumps and throws, please feel free to have input in coaching the students if you have knowledge or experience.
