Well, it’s finally here – we have found ourselves in the week of Aladdin Jr! Our Year 5s and 6s, as well as the incredible staff, have been putting so much work into the preparations for the production, this is the week where it all comes together. If you haven’t already purchased your tickets, I recommend getting online now (https://events.humanitix.com/dunaladdinjr) as there are only a few tickets left at some of the shows. It is sure to be a delight to watch.
This week is also Book Week, with various events happening across the week with a culmination on Friday with our Book Week Parade at 8:45-9:10am for Years 3-6, followed by the ELC parade from 9:30am – 9:50am. Please feel free stay for a picnic at the ELC after the parade (9:50am – 10:30am). A coffee van will be onsite but you will need to bring your own picnic blankets and snacks, but popcorn will be provided for the students.
On a different note, I wanted to encourage you with something that was shared with me the other day. In all the busyness, distraction and struggle that seems to be so present in our lives at the moment, sometimes I think we forget that we have the ability to look beyond that, and recognise the blessings that can be all around us everyday. This little story did a wonderful job of bringing that to light for me – I hope it can for you, too.

Traffic Flow
Please can we all be aware of working expediently in our drop-off and pick-up traffic flow by noting the following:
- Parents/Guardians exit their vehicle to see children off or remove their bags from the car delaying the drop off process. It would be great if parents could stay in the car and students exit as quickly as possible.
- Some Parents/Guardians walk into the school grounds leaving the vehicle in the kiss and drive during drop off and pick up. Please can this be avoided.
- Parents do not use the full extent of the kiss and drive area for primary instead choosing to stop outside the front gate or side gate. Please move as far down the area as possible.
- Children exit the vehicle opening a door onto the road. Please use the door opening onto the drop-off area.
On average our community are off the campus within 15 minutes for drop offs and pick-ups, which is wonderful considering the number of cars involved. Thank you for your patience and consideration as we continue to successfully navigate our traffic flow.

Inter House Athletics Carnival – year 3 to 6
Wednesday 8 September – jumps, throws, 800m
Friday 10 September – sprints, team games
Dear Parents and Students,
Please scan carefully through the programs and information accessed through the links. The Information for Parents sheet outlines many of the common questions that parents and students have regarding the two days of competition(HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING THIS CAREFULLY FIRST). The Wednesday jumps and throws program indicates the events and times for each class. The Friday sprints and team games program indicates what division each student will compete in. The Friday team games list indicates the team games that each student will be involved in(you may need to click on the tabs below to find the correct gender and year group). Please ensure that there are no clerical errors in the program, which is very possible when constructing the spread sheets. Please let me know at daniel.parker@ststephens.wa.edu.au if you identify any issues.
